Surprise playground run-in with some friends of N’s recently — a suprise because it wasn’t the neighborhood park of ANY of us. Still a delight. I love seeing how happy kids can be when they’re running and jumping.

One thing I forgot to mention from that afternoon: N. got a little upset at B. because he was better at that jump-between-the-benches thing than her even though she’d taken gymnastics classes and he hadn’t. I should have reminded her that he has almost a year on her.

Oh, it’s okay! She’ll live. She’s pretty darn adept at jumping from heights and doing strength tricks, but it’s okay if she’s not always the best. :)
